Kenworth has officially introduced the Kenworth L770 and the battery-electric L770E, marking a bold new era in low-cab forward vocational trucks. Designed to excel in refuse, recycling, construction, and specialized applications, these models deliver exceptional maneuverability, durability, and driver comfort — now available for order and delivery through All Roads Kenworth in both cab & chassis and LaBrie Automated Side Loader (ASL) configurations. Introducing the Kenworth L770 and L770E

The new L770 and L770E represent Kenworth’s first vocational low-cab forward trucks, built for modern urban operations like waste management, concrete pumping, crane service, and paint striping. Both models feature a corrosion-resistant galvanized steel cab frame with aluminum panels and a 90-degree door opening for easy entry and exit.

A durable stainless-steel grille and signature Kenworth styling give these trucks the toughness and presence expected in any Class 8 vocational truck. Available in multiple cab configurations — including Left-Hand Drive, Right-Hand Drive, Dual Seated Drive, and Dual Drive with Right-Hand Stand-Up — the L770 can be customized to meet your operation’s exact needs.

Powertrain Options to Match Every Fleet

The Kenworth L770 offers a wide selection of powertrains to fit your business goals:

  • PACCAR MX-11 — up to 445 hp and 1,700 lb-ft of torque
  • PACCAR PX-9 — up to 380 hp and 1,250 lb-ft of torque
  • Cummins X15N (Natural Gas) — up to 500 hp and 1,850 lb-ft of torque
  • Cummins ISX12N — up to 400 hp and 1,450 lb-ft of torque
  • Cummins L9N — up to 320 hp and 1,000 lb-ft of torque

With pre-configured frame layouts for front, rear, and automated side-loader bodies, the L770 simplifies upfitting and helps fleets get trucks into service faster — ideal for refuse haulers and municipal contractors seeking dependable turnaround times.

The Zero-Emission Kenworth L770E

The L770E brings zero-emission capability to the proven L770 platform. Powered by Meritor’s advanced eAxle electric powertrain, it delivers 536 hp continuous (up to 670 hp peak) and 1,623 lb-ft of torque. Its 350 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery supports up to 120 miles of range and as many as 1,100 ASL bin cycles per charge.

With regenerative braking, DC fast charging (125 kW) for a full recharge in approximately 3.5 hours, and a 66,000 lb. GVWR, the L770E is designed for the daily demands of refuse collection and urban vocational work — offering fleets an easy transition to clean energy.

Smart Design for Body Integration

Both the L770 and L770E share the same electrical architecture as the heavy-duty Kenworth T880, ensuring seamless integration with aftermarket equipment. Available factory-installed high- and low-voltage ePTO ports support hydraulic, mechanical, or electric body functions.
